We are seeking Behavioral Health Technicians to join our direct care team. In this role, you’ll provide hands-on support to clients as they navigate detox, residential care, and early recovery. You’ll ensure safety, model healthy coping strategies, and create a consistent and respectful environment that promotes healing and growth.
Who You Are
You’re someone who stays calm in stressful situations, communicates clearly, and treats others with kindness and respect. You may have experience in behavioral health or working with vulnerable populations, or you may be looking to start a career in recovery services. A high school diploma or GED is required, and training in CPR, First Aid, and crisis management will be provided if you don’t already have it. Key Responsibilities
- Maintain client safety and supervision at all times in accordance with care plans and facility policies
- Build positive rapport and engage clients in daily routines, recovery-oriented activities, and peer support
- Co-lead or support group sessions focused on life skills, coping strategies, and personal development
- Monitor client behaviors and report observations to clinical staff
- Assist with admissions, discharges, transportation, and shift transitions
- Document interactions, incidents, and behavioral observations in real time
- Respond to crisis situations using trained de-escalation techniques
- Participate in team meetings, staff trainings, and continuous quality improvement efforts
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- At least 6 months of experience working in behavioral health, substance use treatment, or a related field preferred
- Ability to remain calm, compassionate, and professional in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Must be able to pass background and drug screening
- CPR, First Aid, and de-escalation training required (can be provided upon hire)
